The latest tourist attraction in Juntaburi is
Brahminy Kite habitats, which located in 47,444
acres of mangrove forests. If we follow Juntaburi-Trad
route, we should take a boat at Velu River Bridge at
about the 374th kilometer. And we were
cruising about 30 minutes passing shrimp and
shellfish field and mangrove forests along the way.
The Brahminy Kite inhabit this place for 10 years.
I went to one of the local resident house. He has
sufficient economic shrimp farming and he lives in
harmony with nature. So the Brahminy Kites habitats
have been protected.
The Brahminy Kite hunts frog, bird, insect, mouse,
duckling, chick and small lizard. In this bountiful
area therere more than thousands of kites.
You can contact Doi Chang coffee for
making a Brahminy Kite sightseeing, tel.
084-5656655.
The other confining places that you can see Brahminy
Kite are Dusit zoo, Chiang Mai zoo, Nakhornrajseema
zoo and Songkla zoo. In nature, they hunt in a day
and come back around 5pm. However if we want to
approach it, we can throw the bait fish over the
water and it will come get a prey over the water
surface.
Beautiful swings have
been seen from times to times. Moreover we visited
the shrimp farming and seeing firefly after that.
Firefly
seeing trail is the 2 kilometers track in the
mangrove forests situated at sukhumvit road 374th
kilometer at Banthasorn junction.
The trip should begin at 3pm. The thousands of
Brahminy Kites swing over the water surface together
with the sunset will make your day unforgettable.
