There are 2 most
curves and turning, they are Chiangmai-Meahongson
road and the Measord-Um-Phang road. The first
road has 1864 curves , and the second road has
only 1219 curves but it is more beautiful views
than the first because of both sides of the road
is foggy along the way, which is distant about
164 kilometers. Today we will go to Thee Lor Su
waterfall then to see the beautiful views of
Roifa road or sky road before going to
downstream through the fast waterfall there.
Nowadays, even
though the way to Amper Um-Phang is better
developed more than in the past , but its
still known as narrow, and crisscross the
mountain. If we would go for traveling Thee Lor
Su waterfall at Um-Phang, we should go to Tak
province early. The distant is 426 kilometers
that use the time 5 hours.
After that we
use the street No. 105 Tak-Measod. This street
crisscrosses the high mountain range. When we
reach Mea Sod, we will go on the Roifa road
onroad No 1090 Measod - Um-Phang. This road has
only 146 kilometers but the time for driving is
4 hours because of the street it ups and downs
and can not go fast. The drivers need to try
to keep left all the time for safety as there
are some part of road are washed away.
We will talk a
little bit about the street to Um-Phang as now
we can go to Um-Phang just on Roifa roadto Um-Phang
is Kronglan - Um-Phang or highway No 1117. In
2528 B.E this road was for the purpose of
moving and sending solders, polices weapons to
purge the communist terroristsfor a while,
terrorists became slowly distinct. Finally the cabinet
announced on 30 June 2530 to end building the
road the kilometer 115.
Um-Phang is
closed to boarder with Burma it was under the
govern of Uthaithani (now is Tak province) which
is the place for exploring passport of Burmese
that come to Thailand for trading. The passport
was called by Kaleing language is Umpa later
come to be new word is Um-Phang.
